Playing Poker In Vegas

I'm just 1 month away from playing some poker on the tables in Vegas. The excitement is building as myself and 7 friends are going to put lady luck to test as we hit the strip and play some poker. The past two years we have played the poker tables mainly in the MGM Grand and the Luxor as that's where we stayed. This year we are staying at the Wynn which the newest 5 star hotel on the strip. The poker tables look very nice there. There's nothing like sitting at a poker table and chatting with so many people from all over the world while playing hold'em. I've met people from around the world and learned so much about poker from them. I even had one guy offer me a job at his company in Baltimore. I live in Ontario and wasn't ready to move but it's cool to meet people like that.

I haven't made a lot of money playing poker in Vegas in the past, however my game has improved considerably since then. This year I'm taking $1200 with me and going to see what i can do with it. This is the most that I have ever taken. To some people that's a lot of money, but to Vegas it's not that much. There are many low stakes poker tables in Vegas with $1 and $2 blinds. My problem is I'm only in Vegas for 4 days and it's very hard to win a lot at the cheap poker tables. Furthermore players will play any two cards at those tables so its very difficult to get a read on them. I plan on playing on the $20-$40 blind poker tables to start. I find from previous experience that poker players tend to play more consistently, playing decent cards and throwing away the garbage hands. My plan is to make a few hundred then work my way up to some of the more expensive poker tables. My only alternative is to lose it all. Either way it should be a fun-filled eventful trip and i can't wait to go.
